The goal of this backyard landscape design was to increase the amount of usable space. A wandering path in the back yard of irregular stone connects the patio to the fire pit and seating area. A palette of natural stone and falling water captures the magic of the north woods.
In spring and fall, when the days are shorter, but still relatively mild, outdoor lighting makes the landscape more inviting. Black Adirondack chairs and potted annuals add contrast to the dry-stack gas fire pit. Tumbled pavers of the retaining wall create a seamless transition and elevate the front yard pondless waterfall.
