Michaela Long returns to Southview Design as a Design Associate after interning with the team in 2022 and spending the past three years working in the landscape industry. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture with a minor in Landscape Architecture from North Dakota State University.
Michaela’s interest in the industry began in childhood, helping her mom plant in the garden, and has grown into a passion for design technology and software. She encourages anyone considering this field to keep up with its ever-advancing tools and technology, a mindset she carries into her own design work.
A lifelong Minnesotan originally from Rochester, Michaela has ridden and shown horses her entire life. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, watching shows, and spending time in the saddle. She and her fiancé are getting married this year and share their home with two cats, Lottie and Chicken.
